The efficacy of the operating room with the efficiency of the bedside.

Vega Surgical combines the efficacy of the operating room with the efficiency of a bedside procedure, significantly decreasing cost and, more importantly, improving patient outcomes. Vega will treat what will soon be the most common cranial neurosurgical disorder, Chronic Subdural Hematomas with the Xcape port and Axis Drill. Today CSDHs are treated in an operating room with surgeries that are effective but time-consuming and inefficient or with convenient but inferior ICU bedside procedures.

30% recurrence rate with current systems

Current bedside systems for the treatment of CSDH are inadequate with recurrence rates nearing 30%. Xcape was designed by Vega Surgical as a better solution for the treatment of CSDH at the bedside setting.

Xcape & Axis Drill

For the first time, the Xcape device will combine the best attributes of OR and bedside procedures. Implanted at the bedside with the Axis cranial access kit and drill, Xcape will evacuate CSDHs through an opening equivalent to a traditional burr hole, thus eliminating the frequent clogging and need for reoperation experienced with the currently available bedside system.
